Hanover Wayside, on Hanover Wayside Road off U.S. 301 in Hanover County, is a 36-acre park offering a picnic shelter, horse shoe pits, ballfield, pond and a 0.6 mile nature trail through woodlands and alongside wetlands and a creek.
Hanover Veterans Memorial
The Hanover Veterans Memorial is complete. This project, located at Hanover Wayside Park, recognizes those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of their country, as well as those of the uniformed services that have defended and continue to defend our country’s freedom. The display is a monument wall that displays names of Hanover residents who have fallen while in service to the military. Brick pavers display the U.S. Veterans with an honorable discharge or serving in active duty. See Hanover County's website for more details.
